My name is Meghan Haas. I am currently a Senior at North High School and one of this year’s Innovator Fellows. Outside of school, I enjoy participating and coaching gymnastics, volunteering, and working as a waitress at Luigi’s Italian Restaurant. In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends.
This year, through the Innovator Fellowship program, I’m hoping to create a book to highlight the diversity and heritage within our Sheboygan community. My passion for learning and the knowledge we acquire through education is a driving force behind my project. By documenting stories from first and second generation immigrants, I hope that this book would offer more understanding, appreciation and respect for the culture and traditions present within Sheboygan. Gearing this project towards the younger generation will accomplish the goal of creating better, well-rounded, and knowledgeable citizens for the future.
