“May I be happy” is an introduction to the practice of meditation. The workshop will include all basic details of the practice including basic breathing techniques,  explanation of the different styles of meditation,  experiential visualizations etc…

You will also witness mind body connection  helped by the use of a biofeedback, a high tech device that measures stress levels (Heart Rate Variability) included in the presentation.

Why Meditation Is Essential In Our Daily Lives

It is in the mind that a sense of the world is created and experienced. It is in the mind that reasoning, planning and learning occurs.  Every one of our senses – sight, sound, taste, smell, and touch – stems from some interaction between brain cells. Because of this our mind is the most important vehicle of life as we know it. Once we become aware of this fact, caring for our mental health becomes vital if we want to have positive life experiences.

There is much to talk about when considering the mind and what we can do to keep it as healthy as possible. In some ways, it is not unlike caring for a vehicle you drive. Your car takes you were you want to go and helps you get there fast, but what happens if you don’t change the oil?  What if you drive nonstop for long periods of time without giving the engine a rest? The vehicle will deteriorate faster than if it was cared for properly. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that our minds require as much – if not more – care than our cars.
