For six years, SVA has showcased the work of local artists through monthly Final Fridays and other events. Now Sheboygan Visual Artists will give people a chance to make their own artwork at a new 2,000 square foot facility they call the SVA Art Factory. Workshops and classes – open to the public and led by accomplished artists – already have begun. But the grand opening of the Art Factory at 1024 North 12th Street will be on Friday October 25th from 6 – 10 pm, as the feature of SVA’s monthly Final Friday celebration. Instructors will offer free hands-on “sampler” previews of screen printing, alternative photography, and contemporary painting concepts. Art made at previous workshops will be on display. A drawing will award discount coupons for future workshops and classes.
